Starting a business, growing one is hard, and running one is hard. Doing this day in and day out can be tiresome. Sometimes I feel like I'm not winning or getting anywhere”, Mrs. Mary Joy. I recently held an interview with Mrs. Mary Joy, owner, of the BTW Cellphone Accessories in Cagayan de Oro City. The business has been in operation for 10 years. The entrepreneur that I interviewed uses her experience, quality, consistency, and overall learned what the customers really need and demand. The business provides cellphone accessories like phone chargers, earphones, power banks, and etc. The main reason why Mrs. Mary Joy started this business is she has a family to feed. She stated that, as an entrepreneur, not all times you have in business will be perfect. In fact, there will be many, many difficulties along the way. However, if you can develop your why's, you can achieve success. Your why must be this personal, passionate, emotional drive that keeps you going, when the world tells you to give up. It is the reason you commit and works so hard. Pushing on when it seems all the odds and the world is against you. Your "why" becomes your driving will to wake up and do it again tomorrow.

Looking For A Good Signal

She admits that being a business owner is not easy and there have been plenty of obstacles along the way but to a determined person there’s nothing they can’t handle. She believes being consistent with content is more important than initially being ‘good’. This is a hard pill for some to swallow, but you only get good by doing it. And the reason most people fail is that they do not actually try. They wait for the perfect post, the perfect article, and they just sit on it. The uncomfortable truth is that you are not as good as you think you are. I certainly was not, and I had to strive hard for my family because life is expensive. Moreover, she said, “I continue to learn and grow. Along the way, I picked up the following lessons that I now apply to each new business I am involved with."
