FIRST FOOD TRIP

Food Trip by Kuya Vicente here in Zone 1 Tibasak, Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City, have been in business for the last five years. He sells Turon, ice candy, and more. His usual customers, or as we call them, "suki", are motorela drivers, students, or any people who wish to eat his delicious turon or have an Ice candy on a nice hot day. Before everything else, he only sold turon with banana stuffing and he just walked to schools, houses, or any customer who would call him to buy his turon. Then, after all of his savings on selling turon by walking, he decided to make a cart so that his customers could easily locate him outside his premises.

FOOD BREAK

As the pandemic hit over a year ago, Kuya Vincente faced a tough time with his food cart. He is losing a lot of customers due to the schools being closed. Children on the streets are in their houses because they are scared of being infected by the virus. His sales really go down by about 60-70% in the first 6 months of the pandemic, but luckily he adds more to his cart by putting another turon which is stuffed with kamote (sweet potatoes), and also adding more things like e-load, ice, and lastly, uling. To sum up the facts, His risky plan of adding more to his food cart makes him increase his sales, and as the day goes by, he is now open for bulk orders and he is slowly recovering from the months of lockdown and new quarantine protocols.
